Terms of Service

Last updated 14 April 2026. These terms govern your use of Brickyard Studios. By creating an account or uploading audio you agree to them.

1. The service

Brickyard Studios is an analysis tool. It produces a structured readout of audio characteristics — balance, frequency, dynamics, spatial placement — and suggests pre-mix preparation steps. Brickyard does not mix, master, encode or publish music on your behalf.

2. Eligibility and accounts

  • You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
  • You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for activity that occurs on your account.
  • We may suspend accounts used to violate these terms, applicable law, or third-party rights.

3. Content and rights

  • You retain all rights to the audio you upload. We claim no ownership over your tracks or reports.
  • You warrant that you have the necessary rights to upload and analyse the audio you provide.
  • You grant Brickyard a limited licence to process, store and generate analysis reports strictly to deliver the service.
  • You must not upload audio that infringes copyright, contains unauthorised samples, or contravenes applicable law.

4. Acceptable use

  • Do not reverse engineer, resell, or rebrand the analysis outputs as your own product.
  • Do not use the service to analyse content you do not have rights to review.
  • Do not attempt to overload, probe or interfere with the platform or other users.

5. Subscriptions, credits and refunds

  • Subscription credits reset at the start of each billing period and do not roll over.
  • One-time credits remain valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.
  • You may cancel a subscription at any time from the dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and you retain access until then.
  • Monthly subscriptions are non-refundable for the current billing period.
  • Annual subscriptions are refundable on a pro-rated basis within the first 14 days, provided no more than 10% of the period's credits have been consumed.
  • One-time credit packs are refundable within 14 days of purchase if no analyses have been consumed against them. Once a credit has been used, it is non-refundable.
  • UK consumer cancellation rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 are preserved where they apply.
  • We may decline or reverse charges where we identify fraud, chargeback abuse or violations of these terms.

6. No guarantees

Brickyard is an assistive tool. We do not guarantee that using the service will produce a chart-topping, viral, or commercially successful release. Final creative and technical mixing decisions remain with you and your engineers. We do not claim to replace professional mixing, mastering or A&R judgment.

7. Availability and changes

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features; where a change materially reduces a paid feature we will provide at least 30 days’ notice or a pro-rated refund for the remaining subscription period.

8. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Brickyard’s aggregate liability for any claim arising out of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of profit, loss of reputation, or loss of data beyond the standard backups we maintain.

9. Termination

You may close your account at any time from the dashboard. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms. On termination we will delete your account data in line with the retention schedule in our Privacy Policy.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be handled by the courts of England and Wales, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer rights available to you in your country of residence.
