1. Who we are
Brickyard Studios Ltd (“Brickyard”, “we”, “us”) is a company registered in England and Wales at 99 Pear Tree Close, Lindford, Bordon, England, GU35 0SR. We operate brickyardstudiosk.com and provide an AI track review and mixing preparation service. Brickyard Studios Ltd is the data controller for personal data processed through this service. Our company number and ICO registration reference are available on request.
2. Data we collect
- Account data — name, email, hashed password, organisation (optional), country.
- Billing data — handled by Stripe. We only store the last four digits of your card for reference.
- Uploaded audio — the rough mixes or audio files you choose to analyse, plus associated metadata you provide (title, notes).
- Analysis outputs — the generated reports and derived metrics tied to your account.
- Usage data — server logs (IP, user agent, endpoint) retained for 30 days for security purposes.
3. How we use it
- To deliver the analysis reports you request and keep them available in your account history.
- To manage billing, sales tax compliance and fraud prevention.
- To provide customer support and respond to your enquiries.
- To maintain service security, detect abuse and comply with legal obligations.
- We do not sell your uploads or share them with advertising partners. We do not use your audio to train generative models.
Lawful basis (UK GDPR Art.6). We process account and billing data to perform our contract with you (Art.6(1)(b)); uploaded audio and analysis outputs under the same contract basis; security logs and fraud prevention data under our legitimate interests (Art.6(1)(f)); and any marketing emails only with your consent (Art.6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time.
4. Storage and retention
- Audio is processed in our UK and EU regions and kept only as long as needed to generate the report.
- On paid plans you may opt to retain a reference bounce alongside each report for revision comparison; retention windows are 30 or 180 days, or for the duration of an active subscription, depending on the plan.
- Reports are retained according to your plan’s history setting. You can delete a report at any time.
- When you delete a file, we remove it from primary storage within 24 hours. Encrypted backups retain deleted data for up to 30 days before rotation.
5. Sharing and sub-processors
We engage the following sub-processors under written data processing agreements:
- Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. — payment processing (Ireland / United States).
- Amazon Web Services EMEA SARL — UK and EU hosting, object storage and CDN.
- Resend, Inc. — transactional email (receipts, password resets, account notices).
- Vercel Inc. — application delivery and product analytics limited to pageview and event data.
We will notify active users by email at least 14 days before adding or replacing a sub-processor. An up-to-date list is available on request at support@brickyardstudiosk.com.
6. International data transfers
Where a sub-processor is located outside the UK or EEA, transfers are made under the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or EU Standard Contractual Clauses, supplemented by technical safeguards including encryption in transit and server-side encryption at rest.
7. Your rights
If you are located in the UK, EEA, Switzerland or other jurisdictions with similar data protection laws, you have the right to:
- access a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- correct inaccurate personal data;
- request deletion of your account and associated data;
- object to or restrict certain processing;
- portability of your account and report data;
- lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office or your local data protection authority.
To exercise any of these rights, email support@brickyardstudiosk.com.
8. Security
We use TLS for data in transit and server-side encryption for stored audio and account data. Access to production systems is restricted to a small number of engineers and is audit-logged. We test the platform regularly for common web application vulnerabilities.
9. Children
Brickyard is not intended for children under 16. If you believe a child has created an account, please contact us and we will remove it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect service changes or legal requirements. Material changes will be announced in-product and by email to active users.
